consolidation into master set of Core Worksheets
Note: This activity is intended to support website/application design, development, and content projects.
All participants should review the original “Core Model” concept here: https://alistapart.com/article/the-core-model-designing-inside-out-for-better-results
Define priorities for core content areas; distill content through these four lenses:
- Visitor Needs
- Organizational Objectives
Consider the following:
What content is already available, and what can be created?
What are the primary Visitor Needs across the site and within particular spaces, pages, or features? What is it that people want to get done on the site?
What are the central Organizational Objectives across the site and within particular spaces, pages, or features? What does the organization want to achieve?
Identify content that lives in the overlap of Visitor Needs and Organizational Objectives; that is the core content that deserves the most attention.
What are the likely Pathways by which visitors will navigate to (inward) and away from (forward) core content?
What is the Character of this content and its related pathways? How should a visitor feel when experiencing this content?
