National Geographic was expanding their brand and content beyond their print publication into digital and needed a partner to help them change consumer behavior. We advised them that changing to a daily publishing schedule would pay dividends.
Nat Geo View was designed to create a new daily habit of checking for new content, pulling multiple pieces of Nat Geo’s amazing, eye-catching content from across their platforms. The app featured responsive image design, allowing users to view photography in landscape and portrait view.
People’s Choice Webby for Best Visual Design
The application was critically acclaimed, winning a People’s Choice Webby for Best Visual Design. The application’s content was so successful that Apple absorbed it into Apple News, vastly increasing digital readership.
